Education and Work Experiences:
2008-now, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor 2008-2008 Centre d'Estudis Avançats de Blanes (CEAB), CSIC, Spain, visiting scholar (Dr. Manuel Maldonado) 2001 – 2007 Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, PhD of Biochemical Engineering (Prof Wei Zhang) 2004 – 2005 Institut für Physiologische Chemie, Universität Mainz, Germany, visiting scholar (Prof Werner E.G. Müller) 1996 – 2001 Dalian University of Technology, China, BEng of Chemical Engineering
Research Interests: 1. Optimization of microalgae bioreactor cultivation and mechanisms involved in starch and lipid accumulation of microalgae cells in the bioreactors, especially focusing on the effects of regulations of operation on the photosynthesis process, e.g. developing method of feedback regulation basing on photosynthesis activities, the key responding targets of stress induced energy compounds accumulation. 2. Development of novel immobilization methods and materials for energy industrial applications
Awards and Honor: Second Award of Science and Technology in Oceanic Engineering by China Association of Oceanic Engineering, 2016 “Da Yu” Innovation Award of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, 2016 BP Young Scientists and Students Award, 13th International Biotechnology Symposium, 2008
