The 17th National Conference of electrochemistry was held in Soochow University during November 16th to 18th.The theme of the conference was “The Electrochemistry in New Energy and Low Carbon Economy”. There were over 2500 participants and 7 of our group members attended it. Prof. Can Li was invited to make a keynote report titled as “Artificial photosynthesis achieved by photocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis: Understanding, Challenging and Opportunities” which aroused great interest. Another 3 of us made the poster presentations. During the conference, the participants discussed about the topics of fundamental electrochemistry, lithium ion battery, fuel cell, nanotechnology and materials of electrochemistry, ect.. . Many foreign experts in electrochemistry were also invited to present their research progress and communicate with others. And It’s also announced that the next National Conference of Electrochemistry would be held in Harbin.
